Overview:
The Fox School’s Management Information Systems department was founded in 2000. Dean M. Moshe Porat formed the department to support the three strategic pillars of the Fox school, entrepreneurship, globalization, and information technology. Fox MIS offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in information systems and includes 427 undergraduate majors, 222 undergraduate minors, and 77 graduate students in our ITACS programs as of fall 2025. The department has 16 primary and secondary faculty and expects to hire two additional tenured or tenured track faculty members for the fall of 2026. The department also has 1 staff member. The associated Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) connects students and faculty with industry leaders through a partnership structure, and provides funding, project and professional development opportunities. MIS programs are offered primarily on Temple’s main campus and online. Faculty members have permanent offices on the main campus.
